TERMS OF USE

Terms and Conditions of Use

By registering as a user and making use of the DSQA Learning Management System & Website, you are accepting the agreement of the Terms of Use hereunder. Both the Student & Parents/Guardians agree to the Online Class Rules at all times, disregard of the rules will result in disciplinary measures and/or suspension and access to this system and related platforms revoked either permanently or temporarily.

Online Classroom Rules

1. Turn your video on.

2. Mute your microphone unless it's your turn to speak.

3. Raise your hand if you want to say something.

4. Stay seated.

5. Don’t do other tasks or speak to others while the class is ongoing.

6. Come prepared and participate.

7. Don't keep your phone/tablet in your hand - it should be mounted or placed so you don't have to touch it all the time and your camera is not moving around all the time.

8. Wear a headset/earphone with a mic to limit background noise.

9. Don't sit near siblings who are also in an online class.

10. Be respectful at all times to your peers and teachers.

11. Act as if you are actually in a physical class and take a break away from your desk during break times, go to the toilet during break if needed and stretch your legs, have a snack and something to drink during break times.

Material/Content

You acknowledge that by using the resources on the DSQA LMS, that they may contain information, communication, illustration, text, video, graphics, music, sound, images and other materials and services (collectively the “Content”), which is provided by DSQA or its Associates or by licensors of DSQA LMS. You agree and acknowledge that, notwithstanding that DSQA permits access to the Content, the Content is protected by copyrights, trademarks, and other proprietary (including intellectual property) rights (collectively “Rights”), that these Rights are valid and protected in all media now existing or later developed, and that except as specifically provided in these Terms, your use of the Content shall be governed and constrained by applicable copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws in South Africa and worldwide. In addition to DSQA and its licensors’ Rights in individual elements of the Content, DSQA owns a copyright in the development, selection, coordination, arrangement and enhancement of the Content. You may not modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, reproduce, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, incorporate into any other programme, website, app, CMS or LMS platform or distribute/share via services such as WhatsApp or Telegram, nor charge third parties for use of the content for private tutoring services, create books from or in any other way exploit any of the DSQA content whatsoever. No other use may be made of the content without the express written permission of the Management of DSQA in writing.


Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances, shall DSQA be liable for any consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials supplied to this site. DSQA is making video and audio content available on its website and selects URL links for education merit only for content developed and relevant to the subject they are linking from. DSQA does not link to external sites in return for cash, services or any other consideration in kind. Whilst considerable care is taken in choosing URL’s for suitable audience viewing from external websites, DSQA will not be liable for any consequential damages for content changes to video and audio content from these external websites, viewers’ expressions, broken links, message boards or explicit material. Should you come across any external link that is not suitable for the DSQA website, please contact admin@dsqa.co.za or site owners on the web pages where the material appears.

You agree to the following:

As a student of Darus Saulieghien Quraan Academy, you agree to check your messages daily in the LMS. This includes days that you are not working online as well. When you are at the masjid or on-site, you and/or your parent/guardian will also have to check your messages daily. 


Important progress information/updates will be posted here by your teacher.

You may also directly communicate with your teacher via the LMS Messaging system. This forms part of an audit process and a reference for future communications between student/parent and teacher.

Understanding that the LMS CALENDAR is an important part of day-to-day teaching & learning and it must be checked at-least once a month by both students/parents & teachers.

Full policy

You agree to the following:

As a student of Darus Saulieghien Quraan Academy, you agree to check the LMS Calendar at least once a month in the LMS. 

This includes days that you are not working online as well

When you are at the masjid or on-site, you and/or your parent/guardian will also have to check the calendar at least once a month.

Important dates such as term-end/start, public holidays, exams start dates, etc. are all listed on the calendar. You agree to browse through and familiarize yourself with it at least once a month to stay up to date with important dates.
